There are different production processes and a high purity of the product certainly speaks for high standards in production. That is definitely an advantage. And those of our customers, for whom a price difference of 20% to 30% is not really significant, are sure to go for the cleaner product 'because of the good feeling'.
Is ultra-pure NMN manufactured differently from 'ordinary' NMN?
Manufacturers are not (yet) able to produce NMN in exactly the same purity in every production cycle. The degree of purity varies from batch to batch. The production process in the production of ultra-pure NMN, as we distribute it, in fact does not differ in any way from the way in which 'ordinary NMN' is produced. At best, one could say that this NMN was particularly 'well done'. You could also compare the ultra-pure NMN with the cream that is skimmed off in the preparation of milk and which we then use to prepare delicious whipped cream. The ultra-pure NMN is therefore somewhat more expensive for a similar reason, which also underlies the price difference between milk and whipped cream.
There is another reason why U-NMN is more expensive: The analysis effort that we do for U-NMN is greater because, in addition to purity, we also have an analysis of the potential exposure to heavy metals and a microbiological analysis that deals with possible contamination with fungal spores and germs. Special hygiene measures on our part when processing U-NMN: The air is cleaned of dust / floating particles by an air washer. The assistants wear a clean smock to prevent dust from clothing from contaminating the substance, they wear a hood for the hair, latex gloves and a face mask.
